The Monument was dedicated to the heroes from the District of Haskovo who died in the wars

The Monument of the Unknown Soldier – right after its opening ceremony in 1927. Its author was the sculptor Toma Deliradev. The monument was dedicated to those who died in the wars. The sculptures of the warriors at the bottom symbolize the four types of troops.
