Professor Nedyalka Simeonova (02.12.1901 – 14.03.1959) – a violinist and a music pedagogue. She was born in the town of Haskovo. She had her first lessons in violin with her father. At the age of seven, she drew the attention of the experts in the field of music with the performance of “Dream”, composed by Schumann. At the age of eleven she performed concerts throughout the country. In 1913 she had a tour in the USA performing music and achieving enormous success irrelevant to her young age – the press wrote about her – “a child miracle”.
Leopold Auer, A. Ruppoldi, G. Haevman – music teachers that she studied with within the period from 1914 to 1923. She continued her performances in the country and abroad.
N.Simeonova with the prize of Georgi Dimitrov, the highest state award for this period in the People’s Republic of Bulgaria, awarded for her contribution to the field of science, arts and culture.
