The bridge over the Maritsa River

The bridge is one of the symbols of Edirne. It is built over the Maritsa River and connects the town with the Karaagach neighborhood. Its construction began in 1842 at the reign of Sultan Abdulmedzhit. It was completed in 1847. It is 263 meters long and its width is 7 meters.
