Manol Ivanov is a distinguished musician, a composer and a pedagogue. He was born and raised in the town of Haskovo. He completed the course of education at the 5th grade school in Haskovo and later graduated the music conservatory in Zagreb with excellent results. He founded the first male choir in the country, taught music, composed a large number of marches, the children’s operetta “For Mushrooms”, songs with the poems of Yavorov, P.P. Slaveykov and others. For fifty years the children’s music school at the Community Center “Zarya” has been named after the talented musician who enriched the cultural life in the town of Haskovo with his cultural activities.
