Ivan Nikolov (28. 2. 1937 – 12. 11. 1991) – a Bulgarian poet, fiction writer, translator, born in the village of Gorski Izvor, Haskovo. He was an Editor-in-Chief of “Hristo G. Danov” Publishing House, Plovdiv, Editor-in-Chief of the Literary Almanac “Yug”, Haskovo, Member of the Managing Body of the Union of the Bulgarian Writers. He was the author of 27 books, editor and compiler of 8 collections. He translated from Russian authors such as Pushkin, Esenin, Tsvetaeva, Ahmatova, Okuvja and many others. etc.
