Professor Nedyalka Simeonova (02.12.1901 – 14.03.1959) – a violinist and a music pedagogue. Born in the town of Haskovo. She started her first lessons in violin with her father. At the age of seven, she drew the attention of the musical experts with her performance of the piece of music “Dream”, composed by Schumann and at the age of eleven she had concerts all over the country. In 1913 she toured the United States and had concerts achieving success which was not relevant to her young age – the press wrote about her – “a child miracle”. Contribution to her artistic development had Leopold Auer, A. Raplovi, G. Hamedman – musical pedagogues that she was taught by within the period from 1914 to 1923. She continued her performances in the country and abroad.
Nedyalka Simeonova with the prize of Georgi Dimitrov, the highest state award for this period in the People’s Republic of Bulgaria, awarded for contribution to science, arts and culture.
